Training Opportunity! Seasonal Growing Interns 2023

Seasonal Growing Interns will volunteer with the Growing Team for one day a week in the busy growing season from April to October.

Interns will gain experience in all aspects of growing vegetables for sale and learn in-depth practical food growing skills. Key tasks include propagation, transplanting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and other crop production activities.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is best suited to those who meet the following criteria:

  • A desire to start a career in food growing, or to explore the possibility
  • A keen interest in commercial, agroecological vegetable production
  • Enjoyment of being outdoors in all weathers
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn
  • Able to work in a busy and fast-paced environment in a team
  • Some vegetable growing experience (but this is not essential!)
  • Available for a full day every Tuesday from April to October

We particularly encourage applications from BPOC, and/or those who identify as LGBTQIA+, who are currently underrepresented in this sector.
