Can you help us catch that carrot? We’re chasing £15,000 in ‘crowdfunding’ to help assure the future of our farm and our truly local VegBags project.
We’re two weeks into a ‘crowdfunding’ bid to give Sutton Community Farm the boost it needs to become financially self-sustaining – and we need people like you, who believe in what we do, to help.
We hope this people-powered campaign will raise enough from our community of supporters and customers to allow us to grow our VegBags project and so free us from dependency on grants and prove the viability of truly local, seasonal, community-based food-growing that also respects the needs of the natural world.
So we need your help to assure the future of our work providing local, organically-grown veg to Londoners, promoting healthy eating and providing jobs, training and volunteer opportunities – as well as giving kids and teenagers the chance to get their hands dirty learning about where food comes from and how it gets from field to plate.
Already, by the start of this week, 55 people (including many VegBag customers – thank you!) had together pledged £3,547 towards our £15,000 target, which has given us a very warm glow! However, we’ve got just 26 days left to hit the target – and if we fall short, we don’t get a penny! So please help us continue our good food revolution. You could choose to…
- Watch our beautiful campaign video and share it with your friends, family and social networks – online and off
- Pledge money if you are able to – and choose your supporter reward!
- Eat local in style at our Less Than 50 Dinner – proceeds will help us meet our crowdfunding target
