Come to Sutton Community Farm on Saturday 30th November to help us plant 420 new trees! These trees will be the basis of new hedgerows to create borders through and around the farm.
This family-friendly event is part of the Woodland Trust’s Big Climate Fightback Campaign, where they are calling for 1 million people to pledge to plant a new tree in the name of fighting climate change.
What’s happening at Sutton Community Farm?
We are inviting the public and wider community to come to the farm on Saturday 30th November from 10am – 4pm.
We would like 30-40 people to join us in the collective effort of planting 420 new trees.
The trees will be a mixture of hazel, blackthorn, crab apple, dog rose, elder, rowan – all with edible components!
After the day is done at 4pm we invite you to sit around a fire, with live music and mulled cider provided by us to express our thanks and to wish our new trees the best success in getting established!
Why are we planting 420 new trees?
