We have taken the decision to cancel the Summer Open Day at Sutton Community Farm that was due to take place on Saturday 13 July 2024.
Unfortunately we’ve not sold enough tickets to reassure us the demand is there. We’ve compared ticket sales at the equivalent point in time for previous events, and this Open Day falls well below where we would usually expect to be.
As a big public event requires a huge amount of organising and planning, staff time beforehand and on the day, volunteer involvement, cooking and baking, general expense, and site prep – we’ve decided it would be better to focus our limited time and resources elsewhere, and instead hope for a knock-out success of a public event in mid-September.
So we hope that anyone who was planning to attend can come to our Harvest Festival on Saturday 14 September instead!
