Feast Forward – Important information about Christmas vegbags

We will be delivering as many vegbags in December as you would get in a normal month – so there will be no changes to billing amounts for regular customers. However, because of the days on which the holidays fall, we are changing some delivery dates – see below for how these will apply to you.

Just before Christmas week, our weekly customers will receive a ‘Christmas Dinner’ vegbag, to cater for your festive meals, which fortnightly customers can choose to opt into. Be sure to tell your guests where their festive meal came from! So you can plan your Christmas catering as precisely as you need, we’ve already set out what each bag will contain, including approximate weights of each veg – scroll down for those details.

Customers with regular weekly orders

• We will deliver a double order on Thursday 19th December (for pick-up points) or Friday 20th December (most home deliveries). One bag will be your usual vegbag, the other will be a special Christmas dinner vegbag (turn over for contents).
• Your Christmas dinner bag will be the same size as your regular bag (Small, Medium, Large or Family).
• If you have regular weekly orders of extras such as bread or eggs, we will also double these and deliver them with your Christmas dinner vegbag.
• We will not deliver a vegbag in the following week, 26/27 December.
• The first post-New Year delivery will be on Friday 3rd January (pick-up points) and Saturday 4th January (home deliveries), not the usual Thursday/Friday.
• Online customers will be billed weekly as normal.

Customers with regular fortnightly orders

• Group 1: Those whose orders fall due on December 26th (pick-points) or 27th (home delivery) will receive them a week early, on December 19th or 20th. Your next delivery will be in the new year on 9th/10th January, when your normal fortnightly rhythm will resume.

• Group 2: Those due orders on December 19th (pick-up points) or 20th (home delivery) will receive them as normal. The only change to your deliveries over Christmas is that your order for January 2nd/3rd will be delivered on Fri 3rd/Sat 4th January due to the bank holiday. Service returns to normal on Thursday 16th January.

If you are a fortnightly customer and you would like to order a ‘Christmas dinner veg’ bag in addition to your regular order, please email vegbox@suttoncommunityfarm.org.uk with the subject line ‘Opt in to Christmas dinner vegbag’ and your full name. We will arrange an additional one-off payment for this. Your Christmas dinner bag will be the same size as your regular bag (Small, Medium, Large or Family) unless you state otherwise. It would be delivered on Thursday 19th / Friday 20th December.

Customers who make occasional ‘Just Once’ orders

If you make a ‘Just once’ order for 19/20 December, you will receive only a normal vegbag and any extras you’ve ordered. Please do not attempt to place an order for the week of 26/27 December! If you would like a Christmas dinner vegbag on 19/20 December, either in addition to or in place of a ‘Just Once’ order for that day, please email vegbox@suttoncommunityfarm.org.uk, and we will arrange a special payment for it.

New and occasional customers

Please do not place any orders between 16 and 22 December inclusive, as we will not be delivering during Christmas week, and you may be charged. If you would like to order a vegbag for the first week of January 2014, please place your order online between 23 and 29 December.
