Ever unsure what to do with your old, broken tools? You can drop them off at a collection point for the Conservation Foundation’s tools recycling project. Run in association with HM Prisons, the project has given away thousands of tools, given new skills to prisoners and saved tonnes of waste.
Here’s a selection of tools we picked up last week, donated to us from High Down prison. It really helps us as we have so many volunteers coming to the Farm to learn growing skills, and as a small enterprise we don’t have few resources to look after them. Use of recycled tools also fits with our sustainable material aims in our One Planet Action Plan.
