On Saturday 7th September we celebrated the collective efforts and successes of the 2019 veg growing season by organising our biggest annual community event – yes, our one and only Harvest Festival! In total we had:
320 visitors / 34 volunteers making the magic happen / £93 raised for Sutton Food Bank (from face painting donations) / 1 new wall mural thanks to Doug a local artist resident and VegBox customer of ours / 100kg of onions collectively harvested / Live music from the Wandle Ceilidh Band and John & Jon / Farmer’s Question Time / Tasty food from our pizza oven, salad bar and chef team from Petersham’s Nurseries / Cakes from Aura / Lots of happy stall holders / Lots of happy families! Quite the celebration! A big THANK YOU to everyone who made it down to support local community farming!
