The purpose of the Traineeship is to develop a skilled production manager in agroecological farming. It is ideal for someone who has the ambition to manage a food growing space in the future.
The Growing Trainee will learn practical food growing skills, develop cropping plans, collect and process data, and supervise other staff and volunteers. They will work closely with the Heads of Production and the second-year Trainee, gaining in-depth experience in local food production. This role is key to maximising the productivity of the farm, by growing fresh fruit and veg that is sold through the farm’s online shop or to restaurants in the city.
In addition to food growing, the Growing Trainee is crucial in enabling members of the local community to have positive, meaningful and enjoyable experiences while on the farm. We are seeking a hard-working person who is passionate, enthusiastic, and able to work with a broad range of people.
