Cultivate Skills Programme

Our Cultivate Skills Programme is a hands-on learning opportunity for people interested in developing their knowledge and practical skills in agroecological farming. This programme is designed for those in the early stages of considering a career in farming who want to gain more experience by building a regular relationship with farm work throughout the main growing season.

You will work alongside the Growing Team every Monday for five months during the busy growing season from May to October. You will learn practical food growing skills and gain in-depth experience in all aspects of growing vegetables for sale. Key tasks include propagation, transplanting, weeding, watering, harvesting and other crop production activities. In addition to learning through doing, we will provide theoretical training in specific areas throughout the summer, as well as a learning visit to another farm.
