Samantha Bourn

Sam started working for the farm in March 2016 as a growing apprentice. In her role as an apprentice she worked closely with the outdoor staff and volunteers through the seasons. When she finished her apprenticeship in November 2017, she assisted with logistics and coordination of the VegBox scheme, which involved handling the weekly orders, customer service, working with delivery drivers and planning the routes. Since Spring 2018, she has been working one day a week as our Finance Officer, and three days a week as a grower –  officially our Head of Salad, producing salad for wholesale sales with the growing team. She was elected to the Management Committee as Staff Representative in August 2018.

She is extremely interested in continuing her education and knowledge of growing and production, in addition to being active within the food sovereignty movement via involvement with the Community Food Growers Network and the Land Workers Alliance. She is very dedicated to the farm and has a huge love for the space and people involved.

Sam joined the Management Committee in August 2018. In accordance with the Rules, as an elected member, Sam’s term of office ends at the conclusion of her third AMM which will be in 2021.
