Donate a VegBox – Covid-19 Community Response

Can You Help Us Provide Fresh Food to the Local Community?

Sutton Community Farm has an ongoing partnership with the Sutton Food Bank, which works to provide food to those most in need in the Borough of Sutton. Our ‘Donate a VegBox’ initiative provides the food bank with their only source of fresh veg.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have also now entered into a partnership with Age UK Sutton, who have set up a Food Hub to distribute fresh food and cooked meals to vulnerable residents in the borough.

We are currently using funding from the ‘Donate a VegBox’ appeal and a recent gift from a local benefactor. However we are asking for your support to help ensure we can provide this critical supply of food for local families throughout the rest of the year.

For every £200 we raise, this enables us to provide all of the following for one week:

  • 2 Medium VegBoxes for Sutton Food Bank and any additional they request
  • 10 Medium Fruit & Veg VegBoxes for Age UK for distribution to vulnerable households
  • Bulk vegetable donation to the Dukes Head Pub in Wallington to be cooked up in their kitchen and turned into nutritious and delicious meals for local residents in need – making about 150-200 meals per weekly donation

How to donate:

Please see our “Donate a VegBox” page and scroll to the bottom for the link to PayPal

If you are a VegBox customer, you can also donate to our Food Bank and Covid-19 Food Hub via our online shop, just add the option to your order as you would with “extras”. Email vegbox@suttoncommunityfarm.org.uk if you are unsure!

If you or your organisation are in a position to make a larger donation, please contact us at vegbox@suttoncommunityfarm.org.uk or on 07722 156097 to discuss how your contribution can help our community effort and how you would like to make the donation.
